"Breaking the negotiation table is not a skill and the bases of settling international disputes must be strengthened through dialogue," said President Rouhani on Saturday while receiving the letter of credence of the new Ambassador of Switzerland to Tehran, Markus Leitner.

"No doubt, in the future, the history and the people of the world and the US will better judge the way that the current government has chosen to be futile and incorrect," added Rouhani.

He continued: "Today, we are in a very sensitive and important situation, and this sensitive situation is not only for Iran and P5+1, but also for the whole region and the world, because the JCPOA has brought peace to the world and the region".

"Tehran's nuclear activities are peaceful and will always be peaceful. And we will not be the first party to violate the JCPOA until the other side is committed to it," said the president, stating that Tehran has had good cooperation with the IAEA and will continue to work with it.

"Iran has always been keen on good relations with its friend country, Switzerland, and is interested in developing economic, scientific and cultural ties with it," Dr Rouhani continued, adding that Switzerland has always been special among the Iranian people.
