Switzerland approves Novavax’s Covid vaccine for 12-18 year olds  
Swiss medical regulator Swissmedic has approved Novavax’s Nuvaxovid Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 12-18 years. The greenlight has also been given for its use as a booster for adults, ahead of an anticipated rise in infections this winter.    
Credit Suisse reportedly slashing 5,000 jobs globally  
Embattled Swiss bank Credit Suisse is planning to cut around 10% of its workforce as part of a major cost cutting drive, according to several media reports.

Switzerland at IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings and G20 Finance Ministers Meeting in Washington  
Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin and Thomas Jordan, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank, will attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington from 21 to 22 April 2022. A meeting of the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors will take place in the run-up to the Spring Meetings.
